Our grants help businesses connect with motivated young talent while building a more diverse and sustainable workforce. By creating inclusive employment opportunities, the grants enable employers to strengthen their organisations while contributing positively to local communities and the transition to a greener economy.

Support Motivated Young Talent

Through the Green Gateway employment grant, businesses across Mid and West Wales receive predictable financial support to help recruit and develop new talent while building a more inclusive workforce. 

The programme offers fixed grant funding linked to working hours, with a simple, low-administration process to make workforce planning easier. Employers also benefit from dedicated support from an Employer Engagement Manager and job coach, providing guidance on recruitment, onboarding, workplace accessibility, and training. 

Flexible roles can be designed to suit your business needs, with opportunities to recruit multiple young people and access additional support around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, workplace adjustments, and further training funding.

How it Works...

  • Step 1: Expression of Interest & Application

    Complete the application form, outlining your business, the role, training plan, and commitment to the young person’s development.
  • Step 2: Assessment & Support

    We review your application, can visit your workplace to discuss the role and support needed, and provide feedback within 5 working days.
  • Step 3: Grant Approval & Young Person Match

    Once approved, we match you with a young person suited to the role, introduce you, and you can start the recruitment process.
  • Step 4: Employment & Onboarding

    The young person begins the role with support from a job coach for induction, settling in, and weekly check-ins.
  • Step 5: Monthly Funding Payments

    Submit monthly invoices confirming hours worked, and grant funding will be paid in arrears within 5 days.
  • Step 6: Ongoing Monitoring & Support

    Regular review meetings with the Job Coach and Engagement Manager to support and monitor progress.
